Temperatures will range from 11 to 13 °C for the minimum and between 28 and 30 °C for the maximum in Mexico City, while in Toluca a minimum of 4 to 6 °C and a maximum of 23 to 25 °C is expected, according to the forecast from March 7.
On the other hand, for Saturday, March 8, a cold front 33 is forecasted with its cold air mass moving over the north and northeast of Mexico, which will cause strong winds of up to 90 km/h in some areas. Isolated rains are also expected in Sonora and Chihuahua, with conditions for snow or sleet in the morning. Minimum temperatures of up to -15 °C are expected in the mountainous regions of Chihuahua and Durango.
Despite the recent high temperatures in Mexico City, a low-temperature alert was activated for Saturday, March 8. According to Civil Protection, a maximum of 28 degrees was recorded in the capital on Friday, and no rain is forecasted for the metropolitan area.
Regarding the low temperatures, a yellow alert has been activated in the municipalities of Milpa Alta, Tlalpan, and Xochimilco, where temperatures between 4 and 6 degrees Celsius are expected for the morning of Saturday. Additionally, below-zero temperatures with frost are forecasted in several mountainous areas of the country.
On the other hand, a hot environment is expected in most parts of the country, with maximum temperatures that could exceed 35 °C in 18 states. States like Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosi, Veracruz, Oaxaca, and Guerrero could reach 40-45 °C, while Jalisco, Colima, Michoacan, Guanajuato, among others, could reach 40 °C. Sinaloa, Nayarit, Nuevo Leon, and the State of Mexico will have maximum temperatures between 30 and 35 °C.
